Blake Lively is finding it much easier to style herself in chic clothing during her second pregnancy.

Actress Blake Lively has unwittingly dressed like a fairytale character for most of her adult life.

The pregnant 28-year-old star has become a darling of fashion watchers the world over by wearing gorgeous flowing gowns and other elegant couture designs on the red carpet, earning her a fun reputation as a Disney princess come to life.

But she insists she didn't set out to mimic fantasy characters.

"It’s funny, I didn’t realise I was dressing like a Disney princess until people told me," she tells USA Today, noting her favourite gown was the layered powder blue Vivienne Westwood Couture dress she wore at the Cannes Film Festival in May (16).

But Blake admits she has always had a penchant for fairytale-inspired fashion.

"I remember going to Disneyland as a kid and thinking, 'Ah, I want to do that one day,'" she recalls. "You get to live out a bit of your childhood fantasies when you wear a ball gown like that (the Vivienne Westwood Couture piece)."

Lively is currently carrying her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds and her pregnancy style continues to be applauded by some of the fashion industry's biggest critics.

And fortunately for the stunning star, she is finding it easier to dress well, as it seems her body is adapting to being with child better than when she was carrying her first baby, daughter James, who was born in December, 2014.

“It’s a lot faster,” she joked of her pregnancy during an appearance on U.S. talk show Live with Kelly on Wednesday (13Jul16). “You get bigger faster, too, which has been nice to try to fit into clothing strategically.”

But, despite showing up in glamorous attire at high-profile events, Blake prefers to keep it casual when she's out of the spotlight.

“I’m usually home in pyjamas all the time,” she shared. “I feel good. I feel fancy.”
