Booth loved 'goat' hair

Douglas Booth

Douglas Booth thought he looked “cool” with hair extensions.

The young British heartthrob had to sport longer locks for his biblical role as Shem in the new blockbuster Noah. While Douglas was a fan of the makeover, he now realises other people were less impressed.

“I’m sure people were like, ‘What’s he done with his hair?’ I thought it was cool. My best friend has long hair. We looked like two billy goats,” he laughed to British magazine Grazia.

The 21-year-old actor was reluctant to part ways with the hair extensions after shooting had wrapped. However, Douglas was forced to return to his shorter blonde crop because he was trying to land a different movie role.

“I had to take them out when I did a screen test for Spider-Man, which I didn’t get,” he recalled.

Douglas is currently sending pulses races as star crossed lover Romeo in the latest big screen adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.

He recently expressed his sympathy for the team working on his wardrobe while making the film.

“I swear I split my pants a million times down the crotch when I was fencing. The poor costume girls had to spend many an hour, fixing up my crotch,” he laughed.

Douglas is fast becoming a hit in the fashion world, having landed campaigns modelling for the likes of Burberry as a result of his chiselled good looks.
