Britney Spears' slim figure is apparently down to her constantly burning everything off.

The newly single star has been flaunting her toned figure on a Hawaiian beach, recently snapped doing the splits while wearing a blue-and-white striped bikini.

Her slim-line figure is all thanks to a new exercise regime, say friends.

“She’s been working hard to look good. She’s single and feeling confident and happy," a pal told Us Weekly.

Her energetic Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood is also helping to keep the pounds at bay.

“She’s constantly burning everything off!” the insider smiled.

To top up her toning, Britney recently visited LA's Drenched Fitness, where she took part in high-intensity interval training class.

Julie Kennington, founder of Drenched Fitness, says her workouts are the perfect choice for the popstar.

“I think she’s drawn to it because it’s a tough workout. It’s cardio, as well as strength-training," Julie told the magazine.

Britney hasn't completely shunned her sweet treats and the odd potato chip, but the insider reveals she prepares for a work out with egg whites and wheat toast.

“[She tries to snack on] any kind of fruit, especially peaches.

"She has muscle, and she’s strong. This is the best she’s looked in a while," the source added.

The 33-year-old has been posting various photos of her slim physique on Instagram, including a cute shot of her in a purple bikini next to her sons Sean, nine, and Jayden, eight.

She's also been uploading positive quotes, including: "The woman who does not require validation from anyone is the most feared individual on the planet".
