Brooklyn Decker gets the chop

Brooklyn Decker is the latest beauty to swap her flowing blonde locks for a chic bob.

The 27-year-old model turned actress has been sporting flowing blonde locks for the past few years. But Brooklyn decided to update her look by going for the chop, and swapping her long tresses for a chic bob.

Brooklyn debuted her new long with a post on her Instagram page on Tuesday.

Despite being barely a month into the New Year, bobs are already one of the hottest looks of 2015.

Brooklyn is following in the footsteps of Sienna Miller, Kate Bosworth and Snooki by updating her barnet.

In fact, it was Sienna’s stunning look at the Golden Globe awards earlier this month that fuelled Brooklyn’s desire to change things up.

"I get bored very easily and wanted to chop it off," Brooklyn told Allure.com. "And Sienna Miller's cropped cut made my decision very easy."

Brooklyn has become known for her feminine figure over the years, posing for publications including Sports Illustrated.

However, the stunning star said one of the main reasons she likes the new style so much is because it makes her look more androgynous.

"I like that I sort of look like a dude,” Brooklyn added. “It feels much more rock and roll now.”

The daunting task of chopping off Brooklyn’s mane fell to the Lukaro Salon’s colourist Rona O’Connor.

“I made the first ten-inch chop to prepare for Brooklyn’s colour, and everyone was very excited,” Rona said.

The stylist then handed the scissors over to her husband Luke, who owns the Beverly Hills salon, to continue with the cut.

But Luke says Brooklyn’s thick locks made the finished style a bit more difficult to achieve.

“She has so much hair, and that’s not a problem when it’s long—the more the better,” Lukes said. “But for her new bob, my challenge was to thin it out so it didn’t expand into what I call the sphinx look: flat on top and wide at the bottom.”
