Former Pussycat Doll Carmit Bachar is proud of how healthy she is.

The former Pussycat Doll is known for her svelte physique and performed energetic dance routines wearing tiny outfits during her time in the band.

Despite being a mother to 22-month-old Keala Rose, Carmit makes time to stay healthy.

"I take vitamins and drink lots of water," she revealed to British magazine Closer.

The redheaded star and her fiancé Kevin Whitaker welcomed their baby into the world in September 2011.

Carmit admits it can be difficult to stay on top of things when juggling motherhood with a career and fitness.

"It varies [how much sleep I get] with a baby. I try to get a least six or seven hours, but I'd prefer eight!" she laughed.

"I don't smoke and I mostly drink socially, but sometimes I'll have a glass of wine with my dinner after the baby's gone to bed."

Carmit was born with a cleft palate and had numerous operations as a child.

She'd never resort to surgery to change her body shape and would prefer to work out instead.

"I love Hot Power Yoga, Pilates and hiking. I train at a gym, too," she said.

"I've had enough operations in my life - I was born with a cleft lip and palate. I basically grew up in hospital, so I wouldn't have any more surgery."
