Carrie Underwood glitters in gold at ACM Awards

Carrie Underwood was every inch the golden girl as she attended the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Sunday night (03Apr16), looking incredible in a sexy, beaded gown.

Carrie Underwood was the golden girl of the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Sunday night (03Apr16).

The 33-year-old singer showed off her incredible figure in an intricately beaded Davidson Zanine dress as she posed for photographers on the red carpet.

Carrie's gown featured a high neckline of sheer fabric with diamante details, before dropping into an explosion of beads across the bodice and down to the skirt.

The sheer nature of the dress meant that Carrie was still able to flash some flesh however, with the singer the envy of new mothers worldwide as she flaunted her buff post-baby body.

Carrie teamed the dress with several rings and large chandelier earrings from Bavna. Keeping her hair simple, Carrie opted for to wear her blonde bob sleek and straight. Her make-up was mainly focused on her eyes, with a smoky look adding to the glamorous sexiness of her ensemble, while a slick of gold lipgloss complemented her overall metallic look.

Carrie certainly had no qualms about showing off her upper arms in the sleeveless number, with her muscularly toned arms clear to see. She has worked hard on regaining her figure after giving birth to son Isaiah though, and why shouldn't she show it off?

In an interview with Shape magazine last November (15), Carrie revealed she had been forced to wait until she had fully recovered from her caesarean section to get back into her diet and exercise regime. But when she was allowed to, she jumped into it wholeheartedly.

"I will take any type of workout I can get, whenever I can get it," Carrie told the publication. "For me, it’s the key to being happy and healthy. Though it’s difficult to find spare time these days."

Carrie can certainly count her performance at the ACM Awards as a workout. She swapped her glittering gold gown for a gladiatorial silver minidress and knee-high heels as she belted out her new track Church Bells, while also showing off her drumming skills for the high-octane rendition of the catchy song.
