Australian stylist Penny Hunt found Cate Blanchett "slightly intimidating".

The mother-of-one has been in the fashion industry for 14 years and has worked with the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Lara Bingle. But it was Academy Award-winner Cate who Penny was most looking forward to styling.

"When you grow up admiring someone and then have the chance to work with them, even if it is only playing dress ups for a shoot, it's perplexing," she told the Daily Mail Australia. "Cate is clearly a stunning woman and so talented but she is also such a style icon with a natural sophistication it was - in a lovely way - slightly intimidating."

Penny got to style the Blue Jasmine actress and her husband Andrew Upton. As a pair they made quite an impact on their fellow antipodean.

"I hadn't met Andrew prior to that shoot and was blown away at his ease and comic charm - the power couple!" she added.

While the Elizabeth actress was her most admired client, the former beauty editor of Vogue Australia revealed her most star-struck moment was when she met the late Heath Ledger.

"It was when he was filming Candy and the shoot was for an international magazine cover story," she said. "He was such a soft and humorous man with this clear, gleaming skin because he hadn't been in the sun to look more in character. He chatted openly with all the crew and sat around at lunch like he was an old friend from school - cheeky, handsome and charming."
