Cate Blanchett in monochrome for premiere
Cate Blanchett walked the red carpet in a black and white Alexander McQueen gown in Los Angeles yesterday.
The actress and her co-stars hit the red carpet at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater, Los Angeles, to promote the film.
Dressing up for the occasion, Cate picked a black and white Alexander McQueen dress.
Elegant ruching around the waist complemented the gown, which hit floor-length and also boasted a black sash around the middle.
To go with the short-sleeved number, Cate carried a Roger Vivier clutch in white and silver.
The 44-year-old is known for her classic style and kept her beauty look relatively simple for the event.
Cate’s blonde hair was pinned back from her face and worn down, while a slick of red lipstick added that touch of Hollywood glamour.
Also attending the premiere was fellow superstar Rose Byrne, who cut a fabulous figure in a cream and gold frock.
The Christopher Kane dress fell to just below the knee and featured a criss-cross gold pattern across the length of it.
A black belt nipped in Rose’s waist, while silver Casadei shoes finished the look off perfectly.
The actress’ hair was scraped into a messy-chic up-do and she carried a purple clutch to add a splash of colour.
Also hitting up the event was The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco, looking fabulous in a Zimmermann playsuit.
The blonde beauty’s outfit featured a cute blue floral pattern on a white background and she accessorised with blue Manolo Blahnik heels and a Jimmy Choo clutch in black.
Blue Jasmine also stars Alec Baldwin and Sally Hawkins.
