Celine Dion launching lifestyle collection with Nordstrom
The singer made sure to make the collection affordable.
Celine Dion has teamed up with bosses at Nordstrom to debut the fall collection of her lifestyle brand in the company's stores.
The My Heart Will Go On hitmaker announced in February (17) she had partnered with bosses at The Bugatti Group on a line of handbags, luggage and small leather goods.The collection was previewed that month at the Project Womens trade show in Las Vegas and now Celine is releasing the line into the U.S. retailer's stores.
"I'm excited at this opportunity to launch my collection with Nordstrom," she says. "They're a wonderful company with great stores, and I'm proud to be associated with them along with my partners at The Bugatti Group, Epic Rights and Prominent Brand + Talent. My collection is all about affordable luxury, and we've created beautiful designs with excellent quality and I can't wait for everyone to discover all of this at Nordstrom."
The fall 2017 collection will go on sale online and in stores in August (17). It will feature 50 pieces and prices will range from $58 (£45) to $478 (£370).
Celine made sure her offerings are accessible in terms of pricing in a bid to attract a varied audience. The venture may mark a new career path for the singer, as she has previously hinted at the possibility of launching a full lifestyle brand, which would include jewellery, shoes and clothes for women and children.
"Why not?" she told WWD in February. "There was so much going on in my whole career all the time and it feels to me that at this time of my life I can step forward and if I'm given the opportunity, it's now or never and I decided it was a great opportunity."
