Cher: I barely drink

Cher limits her alcohol intake as she sees her health as a priority.

The American singer prioritises her wellbeing and enjoys keeping in shape.

Despite having previously gone under the knife, opting for procedures including a nose job and breast implants, Cher insists it is her good diet which keeps her looking youthful.

“Being healthy has always been part of my life. It just works for me,” she told British magazine Closer. “There are things I don’t like that are unhealthy, like drugs and drinking, so I never got into them to begin with. I smoked cigarettes for a while and I’d have done drugs had I liked them, but they didn’t agree with me. I’ll only drink three of four times a year too.”

Cher also makes sure she undertakes regular work outs to maintain her trim figure. She loves the feeling exercise gives her and credits her personal trainer for helping push her beyond her boundaries, even at 67 years old.

“I don’t eat meat and I exercise around five times a week – getting your endorphins up is a great way to start your day and I’ve got loads of energy,” she smiled. “If I ever try to play the age card with my trainer, she doesn’t go for it!”

Cher previously voiced her opinion on growing older and it seems she feels pressure to look good in the music industry.

“It’s a b***h. I don’t like it. Anyone who says they do is lying. Or they don’t have my work,” she complained to The New York Times earlier this year.
