Marc Jacobs has revealed the first image of Cher modelling his latest campaign.

The 69-year-old singer was accompanied by the American fashion designer at the Met Gala earlier this month. And it seems that it was a big hint towards their new collaboration.

“The amazing and beautiful CHER! Photographed by David Sims for our Fall/Winter campaign.. This is just the beginning…. More to come!!(sic)” Marc wrote alongside an image of the singer on Instagram on Wednesday.

In the shot, the Believe singer can be seen posing side on on a chair. Her long black locks are blown out around her face as she wears an all black ensemble consisting of a full skirt and three-quarter sleeve jacket with oversized buttons. Cher is seen adjusting a pair of black wrist gloves to complete the look.

Marc made no secret of his joy at working so closely with the legendary musician when they walked the red carpet together at the China: Through the Looking Glass event on May 11.

“Other boys were out fascinated by other things. I was like, No, I’d really much rather see what Cher’s wearing this week,” the 52-year-old told the New York Times. “I’m getting this whole romantic vision of what it must have been like to be Sonny standing next to you, once upon a time — the short guy, you know.”

This isn’t the first time that Marc has used a muse over the age of 50. He has also worked with actress Jessica Lange, 66, on his beauty range.
