Chris Evans: I love cologne

Chris Evans ensures that he always "smells good."

The Captain America star and actress Evan Rachel Wood are the faces of Gucci's new sexy ad campaign for their Guilty Intense fragrance.

Chris was thrilled to have landed this job, as he has always been an enthusiastic user of cologne.

"Even if I'm in my T-shirt and jeans, I'll make sure I smell good," Chris explained to People magazine.

Chris believes that he did not have the best taste in scents when he was younger. The actor initially sported his father's colognes when he was a teenager and then began to use Polo Sport and various Abercrombie scents in his twenties.

Regardless of the brand, Chris was adamant about spraying himself with perfumes.

"It's not too classy what I was dousing myself with, but I always made sure I used something," he said.

Guilty Intense is a deep sensual fragrance with Italian lemon, patchouli, amber, mandarin, and orange flower topping off the aroma.

The scent appeals to Chris' tastes.

"I like it," Chris remarked. "Thank god - wouldn't that be horrible if it smelled terrible?"

Chris applies his cologne with care. He prefers lightly spritzing himself to drenching his body with perfume.

"I know some guys go direct skin contact, but not me," he said. "I give the little mist, then do the walk-through."
