Chris O'Dowd: I can't be bothered with gym

Chris O'Dowd

Chris O'Dowd has revealed his body hang-ups, insisting he has "insecurities" just like everybody else.

The Irish funnyman rose to prominence thanks to his role in the hugely successful comedy Bridesmaids and has since become quite the heartthrob.

Chris insists that he still has body hang-ups though.

"I'm always concerned that my d**k is too long - that bothers me," he joked in an interview with British magazine Heat.

"But, no, of course I have insecurities. I want to kind of stay in shape, but I'm not bothered enough to really do it."

Chris also revealed what it's like to take your clothes off on-screen.

The TV and big screen star has quipped that going without his attire is something he finds strangely liberating.

"You get self-conscious, but it's worth it. I would like to get naked more, but nobody's interested for some reason," he laughed.

Chris is friends with Girls star Lena Dunham. The show - which also stars Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet - provides a refreshing honesty about bodies and sex, which Chris thinks is brilliant.

"It's that kind of show," he explained. "They're showing what real sex is like, which I genuinely think is important. Not all of them look wafer-thin, which is such bulls**t."
