Christina Hendricks: I let my skin speak

Christina Hendricks sticks to a regimented skin routine as she likes to give it "what it needs".

The Hollywood beauty is famed for her glowing porcelain complexion and says maintaining her healthy-looking skin takes work.

Christina sticks to a regimented beauty regime and ensures her skin is always protected.

“I like to listen to my skin and give it what it needs,” she told whowhatwear.com.

“I wear Skinceuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 on my face every single day. It has a wonderful silky texture."

Christina always looks red carpet ready and likes doing her hair and make-up on her days off too.

The red-headed actress uses DiorSkin’s Nude Skin-Glowing Foundation and Bloom’s Sheer Colour Cream in Who Me.

“Great blush, great flush, great name,” she giggled.

When it comes to her signature flame-coloured mane, Christina makes sure she is on top of the upkeep. The star admits she is an "old-fashioned girl" who still uses hot rollers, so a couple of products help to protect her locks from the heat.

“I start with Aveda’s Volumizing Spray and set my hair with Redken’s Spray Starch and then take my rollers out and finish with Oscar Blandi’s Texture and Volume Spray," she explained.

A self-confessed "collector" of lipstick, Christina is famed for her scarlet pout on hit TV series Mad Men. Despite her reputation as a lover of rouge lips, Christina admits that coral and pink shades are more her character's choice of colour.

“People always think I wear red lipstick on Mad Men, but it’s actually quite rare," she said, adding that pink is her pout of choice onscreen.

“I’m most often in Laura Mercier’s Lipstick in Baby Lips, or a coral of some kind.”

Christina names Sensai’s Lasting Treatment Rouge in Soubi as one of her favourite shades of red as it gives “a wonderful, creamy, tomato [colour]”.
