Ciara is in awe of Carine Roitfeld's style.

The 29-year-old singer is as known for her on-trend dress sense as she is for her impressive vocals.

In terms of having a style icon, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris Carine is someone whose aesthetic and attitude Ciara has always admired.

"Hands down Carine Roitfeld. She is so chic and fly. I hope to look as amazing as her when I grow up," she gushed to style.com. "She’s one woman who truly knows what she wants - and I think she knows what she wants in all facets of life. That’s inspiring to me, because it shows on the outside. She is the epitome of sexy to me. It’s something about her confidence that gets me."

Ciara is currently in the midst of a tour to promote her new album, Jackie, which was released earlier this month. It's her first time on the road in six years and she has stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, along with make-up artist and Yolonda Frederick and hair stylist Cesar Ramirez, to help her get stage-ready.

Her beauty looks are just as important as her costumes, with Yolonda explaining how she approaches Ciara's make-up.

“I always try to keep things simple and in line with her style, which now focuses a lot on monochromatic, clean lines - without being bland,” she explained. “I like to contour and highlight with colours within her own tone spectrum.”

Outfits do play a big part though, with Rob and Mariel creating ensembles with "layers" for the star to shed during the performance. Ciara wanted to show her "attitude and power" through the clothing and requested a 90s-inspired wardrobe, with pieces such as a black crop top and military-style hat with knee high leather boots.
