Claudia Kim’s major night-out routine

Claudia Kim gets “overwhelmed” unless she’s properly prepared for a big night out.

The South Korean actress stars in the upcoming superhero blockbuster The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It’s her first major Hollywood role and she’s excited about it; although she’s not too sure about all the parties she’ll doubtlessly be invited to off the back of it.

“I always have to prepare myself emotionally to go to a party. It’s a little overwhelming for me, but it's a great place to meet people. I have a granny inside of me, my friends say,” she told Into The Gloss.

“Before a night out, I definitely like to get a massage or take a long bath. I’m also a tea person - Mariage Freres Marco Polo tea is a French brand and it’s the best. I always have a travel mug of it with me. I use aroma oils too - a little bit under my nose before I go somewhere or when I’m travelling. It's really comforting and relaxing.”

Keeping up with her workout regime also helps centre Claudia. She quickly tells the difference if she hasn’t been exercising, as she believes it has an effect on the shape of her face.

“My face kind of swells up sometimes when I'm tired - I get what I call fat nose. So I’ll do anything - we did a lot of circuit training and CrossFit for the Avengers, and those exercises are easy to do if I can’t get to the gym for the treadmill and weights,” she explained.

She might have to wear a lot of cosmetics for her job, but the actress isn’t a big fan of heavy make-up. Claudia prefers going natural, so instead focuses on keeping her skin in good condition. Face masks help with that and her favourite is Crème de la Mer Lifting and Firming Mask.

Another of her top tips is not to use tap water on your face, with Claudia rinsing with bottled water because she thinks it’s “safer”. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is her go-to eye ointment as it’s so moisturising and the star worries she looks more tired when her face is too dry.
