Cooper's show error

Dominic Cooper felt like an "idiot" when he turned up to a Stone Roses concert in a smart suit.

The 35-year-old is always pictured looking dapper in suits and has made a name for himself in movies such as Mamma Mia! and The History Boys.

Earlier this year he watched The Stone Roses play live in London, but wasn't quite aware of appropriate festival fashion.

“I felt really threatened. I thought it was really aggressive. Bottles of urine being lobbed everywhere," he grimaced to British newspaper The Independent. “I wasn’t appropriately dressed, in my three-piece suit and suede shoes. In fact, I looked like a complete idiot.”

Dominic has previously described fashion as "ludicrous" and admits he's "disgusted" when he spends too much money on shoes.

While he does keep an eye on the latest trends, it's feeling good in something that really makes it worth wearing.

"You just notice what looks good and what's acceptable again," he previously told British newspaper The Guardian. "Like wearing really tight skinny jeans. Seven or eight years ago, I wouldn't even have contemplated them, but for some reason it's OK to wear them now. If you're uncomfortable, it's completely pointless. You have to feel like yourself."

Whenever Dominic appears on the red carpet, the actor is wearing a perfectly tailored suit.

The star shared his top tips for pulling a smart look off.

"Get it altered slightly, make it your own. Make the arms thinner, take some length off the bottom or [have it] taken in at the back. I enjoy wearing a suit," he smiled.
