Courtney Love debut edgy line

Courtney Love describes her new clothing line as edgy "Edwardian, Victorian".

The uncompromising musician, actress and artist graces the cover story of US publication Contributor Magazine's latest issue. Featured alongside the star is flame-haired model Chloe Norgaard who is photographed wearing Courtney's own niche clothing line, Never the Bride.

In the accompanying interview, Courtney describes the range as repurposed "Edwardian, Victorian" clothing with an edge.

Courtney has been in the fashion world since the 1990s. First she made waves with her Nirvana-era babydoll dresses, and then embraced a sexier bohemian hippie style.

The rock star took her involvement in the fashion industry to the next step when she announced almost five years ago that she would design her own line.

In the Fall/Winter edition of Contributor, Courtney revealed the range is finally complete. This comes after last year's announcement to WWD that she had finally found a licensee for the line.

Courtney's resilient personality has kept her going with her design aspirations.

"The thing about being an artist is you have to keep going no matter what. I think I ignored pursuing my art for so long because I want the glamour of being a rock star," Courtney said. "Also because that's what my mother wanted me to do so I naturally fought it as a child."
