Cox 'wants replica Friends wedding gown'
Courteney Cox has reportedly asked the Friends costume designer to create her wedding dress.
The actress got engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid in June and the couple are reportedly set to tie the knot before the year is out. The 50-year-old hasn't got a lot of time to get her plans in place, but she reportedly has a clear idea of what she wants when it comes to her dress, and who she wants to make it.
"She's asked Eric [Daman] to design her bridal gown," an insider told British magazine Heat.
Her choice is no coincidence, as Eric was a costume designer on Friends and created the gown that Courteney's character Monica Geller wore for her wedding to Chandler Bing [played by Matthew Perry].
The star is still close to the cast and crew of the show and thinks it would be fitting to have a similar dress.
"[Eric] helped to create the House of Bianchi dress she wore [as Monica] and Court wants a very similar form-fitting dress," the source continued. "She also wants a similar long veil and a bouquet of red roses with petals scattered down the aisle. She's extremely nostalgic about the show. Even her home is filled with loads of the original props and artefacts."
Courteney and Johnny, 38, met last year after being introduced by mutual friend, singer Ed Sheeran. The couple dated for several months before the musician got down on one knee, thought to be during a romantic break to Amanyara beach resort in Turks and Caicos during celebrating her milestone birthday.
The star confirmed her engagement by posting a photo on Twitter. "I'm engaged to him!" she wrote excitedly, while he replicated the message on his page posting: "I'm engaged to her!"
