Penélope Cruz and her sister Mónica's Loewe handbags capture their sibling bond.
The Spanish actress' namesake handbag range with the Madrid-based fashion house, which she created with her sibling Mónica, launches worldwide today.
The collection includes three sizes of the iconic Cruz bag, which will come in a selection of shades, along with zip wallets and smaller coin purses.
Penélope was thrilled to work with her sister and found it an easy process as they have similar taste in accessories. Mónica believes this collaboration defines their family bond perfectly.
"We usually like the same things," Penélope said.
"Working with my sister is very easy. It is such a special relationship, and we are so in sync that sometimes we can communicate with just a look," Mónica added.
Penélope is currently the face of Loewe and created her first line for the label earlier this year.
The 39-year-old actress and her sister made sure the new selection of accessories had a more traditional theme this time.
"We wanted to do something special but also practical, and we wanted the design to have an unmistakable Spanish element," Penélope previously told WWD.
"We wanted a bag which would be useful for women who need to carry many things and have them all to hand at the same time," Mónica chimed in.
Penélope features in a series of ads for Loewe's Fall 13 collection, which were captured by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The photos see the brunette beauty pose on the rooftop of the Casino de Madrid wearing different coloured gloves and holding their glamorous handbags. Some of the designs she models with are the Amazona, Loewe's signature bag, and the Loewe's new take on its classic Flamenco, the Amaya.
