Dakota Johnson stars in Oliver Peoples ad
Melanie Griffiths' daughter is starring in the Oliver Peoples' 2012 campaign as the face of the luxury sunglasses brand.
Dakota Johnson, the daughter of Melanie and Don Johnson, features in the campaign video Float alongside Dark Shadows star Thomas McDonell.
The 22-year-old made her first break in modelling as the face of Mango's 2009 jeans line. She is also following in her actress mother's footsteps with her recent credits in films including Beastly, The Social Network, 21 Jump Street and this year's The Five Year Engagement .
Her new venture Float is the fourth campaign video produced by Oliver Peoples. Film photographer and director Lisa Eisner promises it will be a romantic advertisement.
"We were looking to capture the electricity and excitement of youthful romance," she said, according to British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
"It is the moment in one's life when something special starts to blossom with another person. Maybe it's not the person who you imaged it would be. The characters represent opposite lifestyles - blue blood versus bohemian - who cannot deny an attraction to each other. They meet at school and there the inspiration lies," Eisner added when describing the three-minute film.
The brand's past videos have featured stars including Zooey Deschanel, Elijah Wood and Garbage singer Shirley Manson.
