Demi Lovato: I love keeping fit
Demi Lovato kicks up her fitness routine with exercise balls and dumbbells to get even more out of her workouts.
The former Disney star grew up in the industry and has always been open about past eating disorders.
After a stint in rehab in 2010, Demi has come back stronger than ever and puts her all into staying fit and healthy.
"During each one of my training sessions, I focus on lengthening and toning for the bottom half of my body; that means lots of squats and lunge variations to keep my glutes and hips strong and lean," she told the British edition of Women's Health magazine.
"I keep my core strong with planks, crunches, push-ups, lying glute push-ups and bridges. This strengthens my body and helps prevent injury when I'm performing on stage. Your core is your power centre."
She's previously confessed to training six days a week and even indulges in some yoga on her down day.
To add variety to her workouts, Demi will often use the aid of fitness equipment to get the heart pumping even more.
"I like to kick it up on high-intensity days by bringing light dumbbells, bands and exercise balls and ankle weights into my usual routine. Sometimes I just jump on my spinning bike and ramp up the resistance. I like a good challenge," she smiled.
As well as her enviable figure, 22-year-old Demi radiates natural beauty. She was recently named the first-ever celebrity face of cosmetics company N.Y.C. New York Color, starring in a beauty campaign.
