Diane Kruger celebrates watch brand birthday

Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger stars in a short film to honour the 180th birthday of luxury watch manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The actress has been the brand's ambassador for over five years and the film celebrates her unique personality and successful career.

The footage shows the journey of Diane from young ballerina to iconic fashion model and celebrated actress, exploring the continuous reinvention of her life.

Speaking about the brand in a behind-the-scenes clip, Diane revealed why this is an ideal collaboration for her.

"Jaeger-LeCoultre and I have had a long relationship, really it's been over five years since I started working with them. The brand is very close to what I like in terms of aesthetics, promise of quality and their designs, which I think are timeless," Diane gushed. "This is five years in the making I think, and I am very excited to be part of it."

Jaeger-LeCoultre will be reinventing their watch models the Rendez-Vous and the Reverso to tie in with the 180th birthday celebrations.

For the updated versions, the brand has enhanced the charm and elegance of both iconic models.

In the short film, Director Fabienne Berthaud aims to convey her understanding of this through a vision of women, their creativity and their energy, as embodied by Diane.

"There is sort of a unity of choice, a sensitivity between Diane and Jaeger-LeCoultre," Fabienne explained.

"Diane Kruger has consistently led each moment of her life with confidence and determination, continually reinventing herself while preserving the full force of emotions, of graceful charm and of elegance," said Jaeger-LeCoultre in an official statement.
