Diane Kruger in Chanel promo
Diane Kruger appears in a new film for Chanel, where she discusses her views on beauty in fluent French.
The German-born actress was recently announced as the latest face of Chanel skincare. Diane stars in a one-minute clip for the iconic brand, where she shows off her fluent French as she discusses her views on beauty.
"I believe that beauty is not skin deep. I believe that beauty is something that you earn,” she said. “It’s a question of curiosity, culture, a certain strength of character.”
The video accompanies the house’s La Commence de Beauté campaign - translated as Where Beauty Begins - and debuted on Thursday.
The new line boasts unique "resynchronising" face care products, Le Jour (Day), La Nuit (Night) and Le Weekend.
Diane has long been associated with Chanel and is one of Karl Lagerfeld's muses.
The skincare ambassador also discusses her connection to the luxury French fashion house in the clip, which is believed to be an excerpt from a longer advertising campaign for the skincare line.
"The elegance and subtlety of the house of Chanel, and the Chanel woman, is something we always dream about," she explained.
This is the first of four films in the La Commence de Beauté campaign. The second instalment is due to be released on August 5.
Diane was unveiled as Chanel's new skincare ambassador in April.
The luxury label explained the 37-year-old star's qualities made her the perfect choice.
“With her natural elegance and beauty, Diane Kruger is one of the freshest, most recognisable faces in film," the statement gushed.
Diane previously fronted their female fragrance Allure in 1996 and promoted the Paris-Biarritz handbag in 2007.
