Diane von Furstenberg creates Obama fashion
Diane von Fürstenberg has created a patriotic tote in honour of US President Barack Obama.
Editor of American Vogue Anna Wintour is behind the Runway to Win initiative, which is raising money to support Obama's re-election campaign. She has convinced a number of fashion superstars to get involved with the project and create one-off designs.
All together 20 people are involved, including Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, Derek Lam, Rachel Roy, Prabal Gurung, Vera Wang, Tory Burch, Alexander Wang and Diane.
The initiative's website went live yesterday, offering the first chance to see the pieces on offer.
Diane has created a red, white and blue bag, which is made to look like the US flag. In place of the white stars are tiny hearts, which it is emblazoned with the message 'Obama 12'.
Marc's $45 T-shirt simply states 'I Vote Obama', while Rachel went for a white tank top complete with a flag on the front.
Celebrities have also got involved with the project. Beyoncé Knowles and her mother Tina have a top on offer, as does P. Diddy and Russell Simmons.
The garments go on sale on February 7.
