Dita Von Teese has quipped she should hang lipstick by her door so she never leaves the house without her famous red pout.

The burlesque star is famed for her classic beauty look, always sporting a crimson pout and a slick of liquid eyeliner.

Her gorgeous vintage style has become so much her trademark, the 40-year-old thinks she should start making her beauty routine easier for herself.

“[Do I ever wear tracksuits?] That doesn’t happen. But really, I don’t paint my face every morning. I don’t wear make-up every day,” she laughed to Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O.

“But whenever I leave the house, I keep thinking I should do what Robert Smith from The Cure did. Did you ever hear? He used to put a red lipstick on a string on the front door, put a little on and walk out. I can’t remember the last time I left the house without lipstick.”

The dark-haired beauty loves to have a good time and often hosts elaborate parties.

Just as she entertains with her shows, she expects the same from her guests.

“I like to entertain; I’m more of a cocktail-mixing entertainer, I don’t usually drink a lot. When I’m entertaining, I love to make a big spread of food,” she smiled.

“I hate it when people don’t do something at parties. I go to a lot of trouble to mix the cocktails and make a big spread of food, I wanna be entertained!”
