Dita Von Teese prefers pale models
Dita Von Teese has issued out a "no spray tan" alert to models for her lingerie show in Australia.
The burlesque beauty is currently promoting her Von Follies range at the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Dita Von Tesse took to her Twitter page today to express her relief at avoiding the "disaster" of models strutting the catwalk with deep tans.
"Disaster averted! Just issued out a "no spray tan" alert to our models. Apparently, spray tan is the usual prep for lingerie shows. Yikes! (sic)" she exclaimed on the social networking site.
She earlier described her show, saying preparations were well underway. The raven-haired star gave Twitter fans a taste of what to expect from the runway display.
"Makeup/hair tests today: emerald & peacock-blue eyelids, deep ruby lips, modern Carmen Miranda bumper-bangs, sculpted chignons #VonFollies," she tweeted.
"In fittings with all our Von Follies lingerie models this afternoon for the Melbourne runway show, the girls look gorgeous!! (sic)"
Her Australian show comes after the range hit Target stores in the country last month.
Von Follies by Dita Von Teese is a 26-piece collection and features luxurious vintage-inspired garments and includes many of the star's favourites such as high-waisted panties and overwire bras.
This is Dita's second underwear line. In 2008 she teamed up with Wonderbra to design a capsule collection.
