Kate Middleton injected some colour into her black outfit with a red bag last night.
The 31-year-old royal rarely puts a fashion foot wrong, and braved the chilly British weather in a classic dress by Temperley London last night.
Teaming the knee-length gown with a red Alexander McQueen clutch, Kate injected a shot of colour into the outfit. The bag also had bow detailing on one side, given it some extra glamour.
On her feet she wore a classic pair of black suede Jimmy Choos, which drew attention to her toned legs.
The Templeton dress was inspired by Renaissance stained glass and originally had a price tag of £995, which was then slashed to £398 and is now completely sold out.
Temperley is often Kate's go-to designer of choice, and she always looks glamorous when she steps out in one of its creations.
"They are brilliant girls - good Brit stock. It's refreshing, because there's this whole world of celebrities, but they are so well mannered and polite. They are true British girls, and they are very good ambassadors for British fashion and what we represent," Alice Temperley has previously said of Kate and her sister Pippa.
Kate was the guest of honour at last night's SportsAid's annual ball, in an evening that celebrated the next generation of British athletes.
The star wore her long flowing hair loose, and has gone for a richer shade of brunette.
Make-up and accessories were kept simple, with her sapphire and diamond engagement ring sparkling on her ring finger.
