Duchess of Cambridge is 'champion hat wearer'
The Duchess of Cambridge deserves a "gold medal for hat wearing", says milliner Stephen Jones.
The headwear designer has praised the stunning royal for looking natural and confident when wearing her beautifully crafted headpieces, a feat that not everyone manages to pull off.
Catherine has been photographed in a plethora of stunning designs including creations by Jane Taylor and was named Hat Person of the Year by the California-based Headwear Association at the beginning of 2012.
"She'd win the gold medal for hat wearing!" Jones told British publication Grazia. "She's totally at home with wearing them and she looks convincing."
Stephen, who is taking part in a headwear event organised by the fashion magazine, also commended the royal style icon for her great choices in terms of size and shape of hats.
As a star milliner himself, he insisted he wouldn't change anything about her headwear and recommend Catherine should stick with her style.
The brunette beauty has worn a wide range of shapes and sizes over the years, but most recently has been sticking to small, round creations with elaborate detailing like flowers, feathers and netting.
"They're always neat and precise - and she should carry on with the same kind of style," he said.
