Eddie Redmayne unveiled as the new face of Prada

Eddie Redmayne has landed another major modelling campaign.

Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne has been announced as the latest face of Prada menswear.

The Theory of Everything star is fronting the Italian brand's fall collection and a series of pictures featuring the British star modelling the label's latest trends was shared on Prada's official Instagram account on Monday (13Jun16).

In one shot, taken by photographer Craig McDean, the 34-year-old sits on a stool wearing a black double-breasted jacket with an oversized collar and contrasting arm detailing.

"Unveiling the #PradaFW16 Menswear Advertising Campaign starring #EddieRedmayne - one of contemporary cinema’s most celebrated actors," the caption read beside his image.

In another shot, Eddie is captured sporting a full length coat, ankle skimming trousers and a long white shirt, which also features the oversized collar.

In the chic image, the star is seen clasping his hands together as he stares down the camera lens, with his normally flicked up hair brushed forwards in a flattering style.

"The present moment presents itself as a theatre of history in the #PradaFW16 Menswear Advertising Campaign starring #EddieRedmayne and photographed by Craig McDean (@craigmcdeanstudio)," read the caption.

The campaign isn't the first time Eddie has modelled for a major fashion house, as he has also worked for British brand Burberry in 2008 before becoming a full-time actor.

Since hitting the big time, Eddie has made it onto almost every best dressed male list there is, and was voted number one in GQ's best dressed British men poll for the second consecutive year last month (May16).

The star takes a keen interest in fashion, and has been known to wear bold coloured and tartan suits on red carpets over the years.

"I’ve always worn suits, so I’ve always felt at ease in them,” the star told Men’s Health magazine last year (15). “A well-cut suit feels like armour. If it’s tailored to fit, you feel strong. I don’t slouch as much. My shoulders look stronger."
