Elisabeth Moss astounded by Gap role

Elisabeth Moss' go-to outfit is a pair of denim shorts or a girly dress, and she says her style may not be high fashion but it is effortless.

The US star has been signed by the brand for their fall advertising, titled Dress Normal.

Elisabeth was over the moon with the appointment as her personal sense of style fits well with Gap.

"There is so much exciting stuff going on at the moment. Gap is such an iconic brand. I was flattered to be asked. It's all about wearing what you feel confident in and what clothes make you feel good about yourself," Elisabeth smiled to Britain's Grazia magazine.

"My 'normal' is a pair of denim shorts or a white girly dress. I go for basics. I don't know if what I wear is stylish, but it's effortless."

The new campaign will give the star's fans a chance to see her channelling a different style to the one that made her famous.

Starring as Peggy Olson in Mad Men for the past seven years has meant 32-year-old Elisabeth has become well known for her vintage '60s looks.

Set in the world of an advertising company during the swinging sixties, Mad Men has become a style staple as well as an award-winning TV drama. However the fashions haven't impacted Elisabeth as some may expect.

"My styles have been influenced by Mad Men in the opposite way to how you'd think. For a few years all the girls on the show moved away from doing retro fashion because we constantly had to wear those styles. I haven't worn anything retro for years as a result," she revealed.
