Emma Roberts has landed a role as a style advisor

The 21-year-old actress has been given the job by Snapette, the first location-based shopping app.

Emma has been classified as a feature user of the app which means she will post photos of things she wears and buys.

She will also assume the responsibility of contributing to the Snapette blog, writing about her must-have items and discussing her favourite trends.

"You can upload photos like on Instagram, but then it's also like Yelp in a way - that you can find what stores are nearest to you, which is awesome," Emma told WWD. "It's great, because I'm always the kind of person that's like, 'Where did you get that?'?"

Snapette has partnered with a whole host of designers before, and Emma explained some of her favourite collaborations were with Otte, Curve and Steven Alan. The app launches on iTunes today.

In addition to her role as style setter and fashion advisor, Emma has also recently become a muse for Nanette Lepore's Vogue Eyewear collection. When she's not busy being a fashionista, Emma's day job has seen her recently complete filming on the comedy We're the Millers with Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston.

"Jennifer is one of my fashion and career icons and [the opportunity] was unreal," Emma gushed. "She made my summer."
