Eva Longoria thinks the cape coat is “super functional”.

Eva Longoria loves to wear jeans that “suck” her in.

The former Desperate Housewives star boasts a svelte, petite figure which she always flatters to perfection. When she isn’t busy working Eva, 41, is in the hot seat as a designer, creating a line with The Limited, and does her utmost to ensure her designs reflect her on-trend outlook.

“My daily uniform is jeans and a blazer,” she told LA Confidential Magazine. “I live in jeans and a blazer because I have to sit in meetings all day long. I love a jean that acts like Spanx (control underwear) and sucks you in, and yet is comfortable enough that you can wear it all day. And also, I’m a dress person. You don’t have to think about it. I love a good dress that you can just zip up and go.”

When quizzed which parts of her personal taste she injected into her range, Eva joked “everything”, as the pieces very much reflect everything that “empowers and inspires” her. It was her love for sewing that got her into designing, though she never had time on her hands to try and move into the industry before now.

And for those wondering what hot pieces to wear this fall, Eva also shared her favourite must-haves.

“Well, baseball jackets are one of them,” she began. “That was one of the first things that sold out (the day the collection launched). You see them everywhere. And then, of course, the cape. Capes are in, but the difference is my cape is super functional. I’ve worn so many capes in the past that you can’t raise your arms in it or it falls off your shoulders.”

She also urged people to mix things up with their ensembles to create different vibes.
