Eva Longoria's red carpet panics
Eva Longoria likens preparing for Cannes alongside the likes of Julianne Moore and Naomi Watts to getting ready for a "slumber party".
Eva Longoria always worries that bits of her body may be "sticking out" of her outfit on the red carpet.
The former Desperate Housewives star is no stranger to glitzy showbiz events and most recently wowed in an array of gowns at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month (May16). She may ooze confidence in front of the cameras but Eva admits she gets anxious about her appearance, even when the run up to the occasion is full of fun.
Speaking during Cannes to Britain's Look magazine, she shared, "By the time we're here all my outfits and looks have been decided, so last night it was me, Susan Sarandon, Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts and Doutzen Kroes and we were all like a bunch of girls getting ready for a slumber party!
"Oh (I) always (panic). I'm always like: 'Can you see it - is this sticking out?' I mean there are so many fashion emergencies that can happen as you get out on the red carpet. It's so fast too. You've gotta have everything down - your clothes, your speed, your posture - and then it's over."
Eva, 41, has channelled her love of clothes into her own line of garments for American clothing retailer The Limited, which will launch in August (16). Rather than letting others do all the hard work, the brunette beauty insists she has been "head down" and "feet moving about it".
"I haven't had the time to consult any of my friends about it because I know what I want and I know what I want the brand to be," she added. "I've been sewing my whole life so it's authentically me."
She didn't even ask her close pal, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, for advice in designing her collection, proving even more that she's in her element.
Eva is currently honeymooning with her new husband Jose Baston and sharing plenty of photos to show off her idyllic surroundings. She's also given a glimpse of her flawless make-up free face while swimming in a waterfall.
