Fashion Spy: I love Taylor Swift's look - it's girly fashion

Our reporter Rachel Dean checks out the style at Victoria Square, Belfast and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Leah Crozier (18), student, Armagh

Wore what? Top, £20, Topshop; gilet, £70, boots, £40, bag, £45, all River Island; jeans, £40, boutique in Portadown.

Why? My style is casual but I make sure that I follow fashion trends and stay up-to-date with the latest styles.

Who? Ariana Grande's style is gorgeous. Her outfits can be basic but still look amazing.

Wore what? Top, £22, River Island; skirt, £24, New Look; jacket, £40, H&M; boots, £48, Topshop; bag, gift, Michael Kors.

Why? My style could be described as girly. I love wearing bright, bold colours and skirts.

Who? I love Taylor Swift's look because it is the definition of girly fashion. Her outfits are fun and different.

Nicola Gillchist (21), student, Jordanstown

Wore what? Top, £28, boots, £60, both Topshop; skirt, £130, coat, £230, both Jigsaw; purse, £200, Mulberry.

Why? My style is quite basic, but I love to experiment with different colours. I like mixing expensive items with less expensive items.

Who? The blogger Rosie The Londoner has a great sense of fashion. Her style is simple but sophisticated.

Why? Though my outfits are casual, I try to dress them up a bit by wearing a skirt, for example. I don't really follow trends, I just do my own thing.

Who? Selena Gomez is my style icon. She suits everything that she wears and always looks great. Her style is sophisticated and modern.

Rebecca McCormick (21), retail assistant, Belfast

Wore what? Top, £8, skirt, £15, both H&M; gilet, £30, Matalan; shoes, £10, Primark; bag, £100, Michael Kors.

Why? I would say my style is quirky and I dress for the occasion. I work in retail, so I am able to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and styles.

Who? Rihanna's fashion sense is just perfect. It's on trend but she still manages to stand out from the crowd.

Rebekah Kane (19), student, Belfast

Wore what? Jumper, £45, Topshop; skirt, £10, jacket, £30, both New Look; scarf, £25, Miss Selfridge; boots, £11, Primark; bag, £135, Kate Spade.

Why? My dress sense could be described as individualistic. I can be quite casual but I still make an effort with my outfits.

Who? Lily Collins' look is simple but pretty. My style is quite like hers, as we both usually wear jumpers with skirts.

Laura Kernaghan (19), student, Ballydoyle

Why? I like dressing up a bit more on a daily basis - I wear skirts more often than trousers or jeans. I would put a lot of effort into my outfits every day.

Who? My style icon would have to be Pixie Lott. She looks great both when casual and dressed for events.
