Fashion Spy: I really admire Natalie Portman's style

 

Our reporter Rachel Dean checks out the style in Victoria Square, Belfast and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Bronagh Magorrian (48), housing manager, Loughguile

Wore what? Top, £20, Promod (Portugal); jacket, £40, Miss Captain; jeans, £70, boutique in Portugal; scarf, gift; boots, £80, Anne Klein; bag, £80, Longchamp.

Why? My style is feminine and sophisticated. I wear a lot of colour in my outfits — I am rarely seen in black.

Who? I really admire Natalie Portman’s look as it’s so stylish.

Why? I would say my look is very modern and girly. I love floral prints that have a nice pop of colour in them.

Who? I really like Kate Moss for her quirky, bohemian look. I’ve tried to copy some of her outfits before — I just love her style.

Why? My style is very casual. I love lighter colours, especially summer colours.

Who? Irish model and blogger Pippa O’Connor is the perfect style icon because her looks are so classy but still achievable.

Why? I love mixing high street style with boutique items. My rule is simple — if it looks good, I buy it.

Who? I love how Victoria Beckham’s style is so sophisticated and classic.

Wore what? Jumper, £20, trousers, £30, both New Look; jacket, £35, DV8; boots, £50, Zara; bag, £25, Topshop.

Why? I would say my look is modern with my own little twist on it. I much prefer neutral, earthy tones than anything too bright.

Who? Kate Beckinsale has great style. Her look is modern, simple and feminine.

Catriona O’Connor (29), special needs teacher, Cushendall

Why? In three words, I would describe my style as simple, classic and preppy.

Who? Kate Middleton’s style is stunningly elegant and so timeless.

Catherine Woods (33), accountant, Belfast

Why? My style is casual but chic. I love neutrals mixed with very rich tones.

Who? I think Alexa Chung’s look is great because she’s so individualistic. She has an eclectic style.
