Wore what? Jumper, £10, Topshop; coat, £50, New Look; trousers, £45, River Island; hat, £20, Warehouse; boots, £25, F&F; bag, £600, Mulberry.

Why? My style during the winter season is quite minimal but very cosy. I love big hats and jumpers during this time of year.

Who? I think Millie Mackintosh is a perfect style icon because her look is quirky.

Caitlin Connolly (19), student, Belfast

Wore what? Top, £45, jeans, £42, both River Island; coat, £65, Pull and Bear; boots, £25, Primark; bag, gift, YSL.

Why? My style is modern and up-to-date. I like to keep up with new trends.

Who? Kim Kardashian is very fashion-forward. I get a lot of style tips from her looks, they are so chic.

Gillian Loughran (37), civil servant, Lurgan

Wore what? Dress, £20, H&M; jacket, £30, Papaya; boots, £130, Kurt Geiger; bag, £10, Primark.

Why? I would say my style is very feminine. I wear a lot of pretty printed dresses.

Wore what? Shirt, £20, coat, £100, both Zara; jumper, £30, skirt, £30, both Warehouse; shoes, £20, Dune; bag, £400, Mimco.

Wore what? Jumper, £20, Forever 21; coat, £75, ASOS; jeans, £95, Joe’s Jeans; shoes, £70, Dolce Vita; bag, £1,210, Louis Vuitton.

Why? My look could be described as comfy chic. I like to keep my outfits simple and pretty; I prefer neutral tones over bold colours.

Who? Victoria Beckham is great with fashion, she always looks well put together. She’s been wearing flats recently rather than heels and I much prefer flats for my casual style.
