Our reporter Rachel Dean checks out the style in Belfast city centre and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Kelly Fuerer (23), transport officer, Switzerland

Wore what? Coat, £150, River Island; top, £50, Zara; jeans, £30, H&M; shoes, £120, shop in Switzerland.

Why? My style can normally be described as sporty chic. And I would rather wear darker colours such as khaki green or black than bold colours.

Who? I love Lady Gaga's style because she is different and quite quirky, or as my mum describes it, "crazy".

  • Monthly spend £200-250

Gemma McCaughen (18), student, Belfast

Wore what? Top, £6, shoes, £8, both Penny's; coat, £40, New Look; jeans, £36, Topshop.

Why? I always go for a more laid back, casual look because I find it a lot more comfortable. I actually wear pink normally, I'm just not wearing it at the minute.

Who? I like Selena Gomez for the way in which she dresses. I just really love her style in general.

  • Monthly spend £80-100

Sian Magee (23), barista, Belfast

Wore what? Jumpsuit, £25, New Look; jacket, £30, H&M; hat, £9, bag, £12, both Primark; necklace, £20, stall in Connswater; shoes, £40, Manchester boutique.

Why? I would describe my style as quirky and different. I wear a lot of black but I also like to wear bright colours, such as lime and pink.

Who? I love the Kardashians, like Kim. They are glamorous and stylish. Their fashion sense is amazing.

  • Monthly spend £150-200

Natasha Glackin (21), beauty therapist, Belfast

Wore what? Shirt, £30, jeans, £42, bag, £40, all River Island; kimono, £10, Primark; shoes, £30, Topshop; watch, £200, Guess; sunglasses, £5, store in Cyprus.

Why? I wouldn't say I have a particular style - I just wear what I like and what I feel comfortable in. When I'm going for a night out, I usually wear black or white, but I had an "orange phase" not that long ago.

Who? I like Michelle Keegan's style. She wears the sort of clothes that I would love to buy.

  • Monthly spend £150-200

Maive Kelly (19), sales assistant, Belfast

Wore what? Top, 50p, ebay; scarf, £5, shoes, £6, both Primark; jeggings, £12, New Look.

Why? My style is quite casual and I love anything that is comfortable. I tend to go for darker colours and I avoid most bright, eye-catching colours.

Who? I like the style of Blake Lively - she's pretty and humble. I find her fashion choices interesting.

  • Monthly spend £60-80

Coleen Magee (26), secretary, Belfast

Wore what? Dress, £36, jacket, £65, bag, £25, all River Island; leggings, £3, boots, £17, both Primark.

Why? My style is quite casual but I also like to be different - I love choker necklaces. I always make sure I am up to date with the latest fashion trends. In the summer I choose brighter colours, but in autumn/winter I choose more neutral colours, especially grey.

Who? I admire Kim Kardashian's style because I think she is just so glamorous.

  • Monthly spend £200

Rebecca Maguire (38), hairdresser, Co Fermanagh

Wore what? Dress, £40, shoes, £50, both River Island; bag, £70, Cali.

Why? I would describe my style as chic, and I tend to stick to neutral colours such as tan, cream and brown.

Who? I like Pippa O'Connor's sense of fashion. She's trendy and dresses in a similar way to myself.

  • Monthly spend £200
