Florence Welch: I destroy dresses
Florence Welch says the sign of a good party is a "destroyed dress".
The flame-haired Florence and the Machine front woman is known for her preference for vintage clothing.
The singer confessed she often wears clothes that are so old they simply fall apart after a night out.
"Everything I wear ends up destroyed. I'll go to a party and what I'm wearing is usually so old it just falls to bits, which is a sign of a good party!" Florence laughed to British magazine Elle. "I have this lovely lady who fixes things for me. Every month I send her all the wrecked vintage dresses I've had too much fun in."
Florence explained how she has fondness for stylish older gentlemen. She credits the skills of Karl Lagerfeld for one of her most memorable looks. The British star also praises her grandfather for the beauty advice he instilled in her.
"My beauty guru is my grandfather. He's a very stylish gentleman, and always drilled it into me that Kiehl's was the best. I swear by their Ultra Facial Cleanser," Florence remembered. "And my dress to remember is the beautiful one Karl Lagerfeld made me for the Chanel show. I looked like a cross between Venus de Milo and a sea anemone."
