Gabrielle Union opens up about water and baked bacon diet
The stunning actress has launched her own haircare line.
Gorgeous Gabrielle Union guzzles water to maintain her perfect skin.
The Bad Boys II star drinks huge amounts of water every day and insists that's her most important beauty treatment - because it keeps herself and her glowing skin hydrated.
"I drink a gallon of water (daily), that’s true," she admits. "I say it all the time but I legit drink a gallon of water."
That and her work-out regime allow her to cheat when it comes to all those things she shouldn't really eat - like bacon.
Gabrielle, who is married to sportsman Dwyane Wade, reveals she learned how to bake bacon from basketball legend Charles Oakley, and she was hooked immediately.
"I don’t say no to bacon ever," she laughed during an interview on the 2 Dope Queens podcast this week (ends 28Apr17).
"Charles Oakley was the one who taught me how to bake bacon. It was about 4am and... there was a bunch of us hanging out, it was during Pride weekend in Atlanta. And, after Pride, it was, 'Why don’t we learn how to bake bacon?' And he bakes it with syrup on top!"
The ageless beauty is working on a new haircare line, by launching her own line of styling products, called Flawless, and she admits that she's had her own fair share of bad hair days.
"I went through a phase where I would leave my relaxer on so long, thinking the longer I leave this relaxer on, the straighter it’s going to be," she told Women's Wear Daily.
“Cut to lesions, like open wounds in my scalp, trying to chase something that was unrealistic, and eventually probably in my mid-to-late-20s I decided to give up my relaxer, and I went natural. By natural, I mean underneath the weaves, extensions, clips and the hair colour was my natural hair - thriving."
Gabrielle's Flawless line is available at Ulta.
