Lady Gaga has brushed off rumors she's tying the knot with Taylor Kinney, claiming she just enjoys looking at wedding dresses.

The eccentric singer loves dressing up and has worn everything from an outfit made entirely of meat to a costume adorned with Kermit the Frog toys.

Earlier this month she was spotted shopping for wedding gowns, which sparked speculation she could be close to tying the knot with Taylor Kinney, who she's been dating since 2011.

However, the 28-year-old has brushed off the gossip and says she simply likes the way the frocks look.

"I resent that I have to be getting married to wear Bridal, I mean what if I just love wearing white lace and pearls without it being creepy," she posted on Twitter.

"TILL DEATH DO US BRIDAL (sic)"

Yesterday Taylor celebrated his 33rd birthday, and Gaga used the social networking site to congratulate him and call him her "hero".

A source recently backed up the claims that while the Poker Face singer is loved up, she's in no rush to marry her beau. Instead, she just has an eye for style.

"Lady Gaga is very artistic and yes she bought some white dresses in the bridal section,” an alleged eyewitness told E! News. “However, she never mentioned it was for a wedding or anything.

"She bought two rolling racks full of vintage clothes and accessories. She bought robes, gowns, hats, jewellery. Some of the designer brands she bought were Dior and Balenciaga. She also bought 1920s and 1930s vintage."
