Gwen Stefani launches new Harajuku line for charity
Gwen Stefani is so happy in her personal and professional life, she's decided it's time to give back.
Gwen Stefani has announced a brand new limited-edition capsule line, the Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani Red Hot! Collection.
The Make Me Love You hitmaker, who is also the writer, co-creator and executive producer of the Nickelodeon animated series for children, Kuu Kuu Harajuku, has partnered with People Shop, the e-commerce arm of media giant Time Inc., with all sales benefiting the American Red Cross Home Fire's safety prevention programme.
“I’m really excited to be working with People Shop on this Harajuku Lovers Red Hot Collection to benefit The Red Cross,” Gwen, whose romance with The Voice's Blake Shelton is indeed red hot, tells the site.
The Red Hot! Collection includes her five Harajuku Lovers fragrances with special metallic packaging. The fragrances are Love (a fruity-floral scent with top notes of juicy pear, Granny Smith apples and dewy freesia), Lil' Angel (a fruity-floral scent with top notes of juicy pear, Granny Smith apples and dewy freesia), G (a crisp scent with coconut, Mandarin orange and notes of jasmine and magnolia), Music (floral scent with top notes of apple, water lily and sweet crushed berries), and Baby (a flirty vanilla musk scent that includes top notes of freesia, bergamot and white rose). The fragrances can be purchased separately for $40 each (GBP 32) or as a set, for $125 (GBP 100).
There are also some exclusive items including a recycled cotton $32 (GBP 25) Baggu bag covered in emoji-like depictions of lipstick and pizza, and also a box of nine high-end chocolates from Maggie Louise Confections, hand-selected by Gwen herself, and shaped like lips, stars, and even French fries.
“These beautiful Harajuku Lovers Fragrances and special limited edition Harajuku Lovers collaborations with Maggie Louise Confections and Baggu make super kawaii (cute Japanese pop culture) gifts,” the mother of three adds. “It’s the perfect way to do some early holiday shopping while at the same time supporting a really great cause.”

Between now and November 9 (16), 20% of the purchase price will be donated to the American Red Cross Home Fire safety prevention programme, #LovedOnesSafe, which aims to bring about a 25 per cent reduction in deaths and injuries from fires in the home by 2020.
