Gwyneth: Bold lips are best

Gwyneth Paltrow loved being transformed into Marilyn Monroe.

The 42-year-old actress features in Max Factor's 100 Years of Glamour campaign and for one of the shots she channels Hollywood siren Marilyn Monroe. Her blonde hair is cropped and wavy as she gazes at the camera, wearing a bold pink lipstick and touch of mascara.

This is a combination Gwyneth would happily recreate when hitting the red carpet.

"I love this look. The Max Factor team did an amazing job with the make-up and hair," she smiled to British magazine Look. "For a special occasion, I love a strong lip and this colour is beautiful. I definitely could do it myself, along with the eyeliner and mascara."

Make-up artist Caroline Barnes tended to the star's face and has explained the most important features belonging to the late screen star.

"Max Factor has taken its creative inspiration, Gwyneth Paltrow, and used make-up to transform her into a glamorous heroine from the past," she added. "This Marilyn Monroe-inspired look is all about a flawless base, flirty lashes, and immaculate colours on the nails and lips."

She may pull off the extravagant appearance with confidence, but Gwyneth wasn't always into cosmetics. She previously admitted to not putting much effort in when she was younger but has now learnt what serves her best.

"I think I was always kind of a tomboy when it came to hair and make-up, so I think I've always been pretty minimal," she recalled. "So I think it's been a long time since I've had my look but now I'm trying to branch out more and experiment more with make-up. It's fun."
