Gwyneth Paltrow buzzing for pop-up
Gwyneth Paltrow finds it exhilarating to have her own pop-up store.
The 41-year-old actress opened her first pop-up store in Brentwood Country Mart, LA, for her lifestyle company Goop earlier this week. To celebrate the launch, she held a party with guests including her mother Blythe Danner.
Gwyneth is excited at the thought of visitors purchasing what's on offer and looks forward to what the future holds.
“It’s a weird homecoming, since I grew up coming here after school when I was a kid,” she told WWD. “I don’t know if we’ll do a permanent store because we have our plate full now and we’re just a start-up, but I find this exhilarating. You get a different charge seeing a customer come in and buy a product; it’s a real buzz."
Goop sells everything from homewear to beauty on its website. The shop is made up of two storeys and is decorated to look like a lived-in home. Items on sale in the store include products from her favourite skincare brand Restorsea and clothing by Stella McCartney, a close friend of Gwyneth's. The blonde star showed her support for the designer by wearing a Stella for Goop blazer during the bash.
There are more exciting ventures to come for Goop. Last month the brand announced it will collaborate with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson on an as-of-yet unnamed project. She and Gwyneth are close friends, with the actress relying on Tracy to keep her in shape.
Goop uploaded a video of Tracy's high-energy exercise routines on Instagram alongside the caption: "coming soon: @tracyandersonmethod for #goop exclusive (sic)".
