Gwyneth talks top tailoring

Gwyneth Paltrow thinks all women should have a tuxedo in their wardrobe.

The 42-year-old actress rocks a tuxedo in the campaign for Hugo Boss perfume Ma Vie, and it's a look she's sported on many red carpets too. She wore a version at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles in October and says such pieces instantly boost her confidence.

"Really beautiful tailoring makes a woman look her best in clothes - when someone is thoughtful about how they're sewing something and the lines that they're creating and the proportions," she told British magazine Hello! "You can enhance a woman's figure so much if something is tailored really well. And when you have good tailoring, clothes can last you forever.

"I think every woman should own a black tuxedo jacket. It's so versatile and a really key staple piece in a wardrobe. And if it's well tailored it's so feminine while being a strong shape."

Gwyneth doesn't just work with Hugo Boss; she's also the face of Max Factor. The star hasn't always been that confident when it comes to cosmetics, but is learning about them more and more. Being a mother to her and estranged husband Chris Martin's ten-year-old daughter Apple has changed things a little though.

"When we get a little box of Max Factor make-up at the house, she's really into it. She loves it all, especially the nail polishes. And I think that because she has become so excited about it, I'm definitely more engaged with make-up now," she said.

Gwyneth was also happy to discuss skincare, gladly giving up the secret to her glowing complexion.

"I always cleanse and exfoliate when I've been wearing make-up. I use Clarisonic; I've been obsessed with mine ever since I started using it. I've seen a real difference in my skin," she said.
