Heidi Montag's breast implants were too heavy for her body.

Reality star Heidi Montag's fake boobs were so heavy they were falling through her skin.

The 29-year-old became obsessed with cosmetic surgery in her early 20s, and in 2010 she underwent 10 operations in one day, but the former star of The Hills soon realised she had made a big mistake, and when the post-op pain became unbearable, she had her size F breast implants removed in 2013.

"They were so heavy they were falling through the skin," she said. "It was just too heavy for my body and I was in pain and uncomfortable all the time."

Six years on from her multiple surgeries, Heidi, who is married to fellow reality star Spencer Pratt, is able to reflect on her bad judgment, confessing she has a completely different perspective on cosmetic procedures now.

"I was in way over my head with the surgeries," she continued. "I had no idea what I was getting into or that it was a lifelong commitment. It was very challenging, both physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, on my husband, and on our lives."

Spencer, 32, has also confessed he was naive about what his wife was going to put herself through when she first told him of her enhancement plans.

“It wasn’t something like, ‘Oh, how is this going to affect our lives?’ It was like, ‘Oh cool, you did it, right?’” he recently told ET Online. “I was thinking about where the next party was. I would definitely say (to) women and men who think there’s such a thing as a minor surgical procedure, the second someone is hacking your body it no longer becomes minor surgery."
