Hilary Duff: I love make-up

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff has shared her passion for a pretty pink pout.

The actress-and-recording artist hosted a pool party for Fiji Water in Sag Harbor, New York, at the weekend.

The star wowed at the event dressed in a gorgeous summery purple-blue maxi-dress that showed off her toned and tanned arms.

Hilary also sported a pretty and natural make-up look, keeping her complexion glowing and bronzed but adding a pink lip colour as a focal point.

The fresh swipe of bright pink lip gloss was a free gift she'd recently picked up at cosmetics outlet Sephora after cashing in all her loyalty points.

"I’m a total product junkie,” she said to US InStyle. “I had 5,000 bonus points from shopping at Sephora so much, so I got to pick a few things out for free.”

The ultra-shiny gloss is Sephora's own brand called Shiny Pin-Up Pink lip gloss and is packed with shimmer to reflect light.

Hilary had no idea the super moisturising product would become one of instant favourites.

”I haven’t really bought any of their make-up before because I always go in there knowing what I want. I tried it, and I was like, ‘I like it!’” she exclaimed about her spontaneous choice.

The mother-of-one was interviewed by America's Today show earlier this year where she shared her style icons. The 25-year-old named British actress Sienna Miller as one star she admires.

“I love Kate Moss," she also gushed. "I love that she mixes high fashion with brands that are accessible to everyone and mix and matches them all together. She always looks fabulous."
