Iggy Azalea is "competitive" when it comes to looking good.

The 23-year-old musician is known for her flamboyant ensembles and channelled her love of fashion by basing the music video to her track Fancy on the outfits from hit film Clueless.

When asked what her favourite quote from leading lady Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is, Iggy picked one which she can relate to.

"My favourite Cher quote, I always say I love when she says, 'I mean he does dress better than me, what would I bring to the relationship?' because I feel like that about my real life too," she laughed to Perez Hilton. "If you dress better than me we cannot date. Some days I just don't want to try and I have to know that I'm still topping you. I'm very competitive."

Iggy recently dazzled in a baby pink John Galliano gown at the MTV Movie Awards. Speaking about her own dress sense, the Australian star cited another Clueless character whose style she admires.

"It's very hard for me sometimes to find my balance on the red carpet, wanting to be feminine but still have an edge. I'm more of a Dionne [from Clueless] fashion wise, I did love her outfits more. Cher's a little more chic and subdued and Dionne's kinda crazy and colourful and I love a good colour block and a crazy print, so I loved Dionne."

Iggy's striking appearance landed her the opportunity to front fashion brand Revolve's summer campaign. Michael Mente, co-chief executive officer of the label, recently shared his delight at having the blonde beauty on board.

"Iggy is perfectly in line with our brand,” he told WWD. "Our customer is risk-taking and confident, and Iggy is the perfect embodiment of that. Revolve is not about playing it safe.”
