Iris Law cites mum Sadie Frost as style icon
Iris Law loved how "full-on" her Teen Vogue photoshoot was.
Iris Law is inspired by how her mother Sadie Frost dressed at her age.
The 15-year-old star is the daughter of actress and fashion designer Sadie and actor Jude Law, so is no stranger to being in the spotlight. She’s paved her own fashion path thanks to modelling campaigns for the likes of Miu Miu and Illustrated People, and now features in a new Teen Vogue spread.
Speaking to the publication about her own taste in clothes, Iris noted how her mum is her muse.
“I like looking at pictures of my mum when she was around my age and seeing her make-up and little dresses,” she explained. “I was always really interested in what she was wearing growing up and did quite creative things with how I dressed myself.
“I really like vintage blouses with feminine lace detailing - I’ll usually wear them with black trousers and trainers.”
Jewellery is another big love of hers and she’s rarely seen without trinkets on her fingers, with dad Jude often gifting her rings at Christmas or for her birthday.
Iris’ Teen Vogue shoot marked a big job for the teenager as it was the first time she’d posed in multiple outfits. Photographer Quentin Jones helmed the set, snapping the brunette star in pieces like a pink silk kimono and a multi-coloured Aztec-patterned blouse.
“There were a lot of clashing fabrics and designs and the backdrops were quite full-on. It was chaotic, but in a good way. I liked it,” Iris smiled.
To add to this, Iris’ fascination with photography made the shoot even more enjoyable. She often uses her own camera to take pictures of people in an attempt to create a bigger art project in the future.
“I’ll shoot someone, usually a friend, and then I’ll base a very intricate oil painting off of that picture,” she said. “I aim to show the realness of a person and really capture them as an individual - I like painting eyes and veins under the skin.”
Her 19-year-old brother Rafferty Law is also a fully fledged fashion star, having walked for the likes of DKNY and Dolce & Gabbana.
