James Franco rocks tousled hair and designer stubble in adverts for Gucci's Fall/Winter 13 sunglasses line.

The actor is the face of the Italian brand's Fall/Winter 13 sunglasses line and the pictures have just been released.

In them, James relaxes in a sporty red convertible car, gazing meaningfully into the distance behind his designer shades.

The star is sporting a pair of aviators called Black Bamboo, inspired by the classic Bamboo frame from Spring/Summer 13.

Bamboo cane is a signature staple for Gucci, which has been using it since 1947.

James' hair is unruly and tousled and he sports some impressive designer stubble, while relaxing in a casual denim shirt.

In true high-fashion style, the campaign was shot by legendary photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

The Black Bamboo sunglasses will be available in Gucci boutiques and selected opticians from October 2013, while the campaign will make its global debut next month.

Spring Breakers star James is no stranger to working with Gucci and is also the face of the brand's Made to Measure fragrance.

According to the label's creative director Frida Giannini, he embodies the "globally refined man".

For the scent's campaign, James looks dapper behind the wheel of a car and dressed in a suit with a bowtie.

Gucci Made to Measure fragrance launches this fall and pays homage to the elegance of the label's handmade suit.
